Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions

Is this a garbed event?
Yes, this is a garbed event. Please be dressed in pre-1600 clothing throughout the event. Don't forget your apron!
Can I bring my dog/cat/gerbil?
Please note that you may NOT bring pets. This is a wildlife area. There are many critters in the area including lizards, scorpions, snakes, coyotes, deer and raccoon. (No one has ever been bitten!)
What if I need to cancel my registration?
We sincerely hope you won't have to cancel your reservation, but we understand that life happens. If you need to cancel please contact us through the "Contact Us" page and we will respond as soon as possible. NOTE: There will be a $5 processing fee for cancellations and refunds will not be sent until 2 weeks after the event. Cancellations will not be accepted after April 1, 2017.
What are the smoking rules?
Smoking is not allowed except for the paved area near The Ranch House next to the metal BBQ's.
What will the weather be like?
Camp Scherman has quite a fluctuation in the weather due to the elevation. Winter can bring snow or a high of 65˚ and a low of 30˚ at night. Please plan to drink more water than the recommended 8 glasses a day. The camp is over 5,000 feet elevation and the air is very dry. People tend to dehydrate quickly. Drinking more water than you would at home will help prevent dry skin and lips, headaches and constipation.
Will my cell phone work in camp?
There is NO cell service. There is a pay phone on site.
What are the rules on alcohol?
This is a dry site per the Girl Scouts. Hard beverages are allowed only for class use and in the Ranch House. Please put your empties in the receptacles provided.
Will there be merchants?
We would love to have cooking-related merchants at this event. Please contact Claudia for further information.
Camp Facilities:
Unfortunately this camp does not have its own dishes. Please bring your feast gear. Only a minimum supply will be available.
All rooms are bunk bed in style. Please bring your own bedding or sleeping bag, pillows, etc. Don't forget your towel!

The Ranch House has a small house-sized kitchen. It has several dorm style bunk bed rooms and a lovely fireplace. It has showers and toilets and is heated.
Cabins Huval and Sukat each have dorm style bunks bed rooms. Both cabins have showers and toilets and are heated.
